Members named for Minn. Task Force on Eliminating Subminimum Wages

Four staffers of MOHR member organizations have been selected to serve on the Minnesota Task Force on Eliminating Subminimum Wages. There are 16 members, in all.

The group is charged with developing a plan and making recommendations to end the practice by August 1, 2025, and submitting a report in February 2023 to the Legislature with Lori Schluttenhofer, VP with Opportunity Partnersrecommendations to implement changes.

The members join leaders from state agencies, an attorney, the CEO of The Arc of Minnesota and three individuals with disabilities.

Opportunity Partners is a larger provider based in Minnetonka. Hubbard County DAC is in Park Rapids and Functional Industries operates in Buffalo.

Lastly, Raquel Sidie-Wagner, a regional manager with Eagan-based Lifeworks Services, is serving under the title “Employer who successfully transitioned away from payment of subminimum wages to people with disabilities."
