MOHR is a progressive provider association of over 100 providers working and striving to enhance employment and enrichment supports and services for people with disabilities. MOHR offers the following membership benefits:

  • Brings over 50 years of employment and enrichment experiences to important negotiations and maintains strong working collaborations with stakeholders including elected officials that promotes effective partnerships to advance system change and stability

  • Cultivates the culture, history, and the principals of non-profit day service providers as the foundation for the evolving day service system

  • MOHR promotes and leads initiatives for rate increases, employee compensation and other significant issues affecting services and supports for people with disabilities; as the industry changes, new and increasingly complex issues emerge; as issues/topics arise, at the table representing our members

  • Contracts for Professional lobby service to advocate for the necessary supports from Minnesota legislators

  • Volunteer-based advocacy/leadership organization – member agencies assist with the management of the organizations initiatives, maintaining a reasonable/cost effective dues structure – based on the size of your organization

  • Networking - MOHR has an extensive network and mentor system; connect with and learn from other members – statewide and varying sizes of organizations; members assisting other members and sharing our successes; committee participation

  • Regional Board ~ Monthly Board Meetings across the state; ability to participate with Board and Committees remotely/by phone; regional meetings to support and learn from each other

  • Timely news and information: MOHR connects its members with current issues and developments, and supports its members to influence change through MOHR committee work and MOHR communications: e-newsletters; social media channels; member chat groups; timely action alerts; and a hosts a comprehensive website to further educate and celebrate success stories of our members

  • Active member of National Provider Organization, ANCOR which provides the opportunity to stay abreast of National Health and Human Service issues and initiatives; gives MOHR Members a voice with federal initiatives

  • Training designed for both administrative and direct support professionals that supports and promotes best practices

  • We promote member organizations throughout the state with Public Relations stories of “best practices” and success of our member organizations
