ProAct was proud to host an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Shakopee center. All programs, services, and participants are now located at 4301 Dean Lakes Boulevard in Shakopee, just down the road from their previous home. Open house guests enjoyed guided tours of the new facility and met with staff and ProAct's board members. Staff members celebrated the day by wearing shirts specially designed by a talented ProAct participant. The Shakopee Chamber, along with members of the Shakopee City Council and Shakopee Mayor Matt Lehman, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
During the event, Mayor Lehman signed and presented a proclamation declaring April 7, 2026, as ProAct Day in the city of Shakopee. The new center will offer more opportunities for local residents to participate in programs and services, connect with resources, and become part of an inclusive and supportive community. Congratulations to ProAct on this exciting new chapter! Watch Mayor Lehman's declaration:
