Mille Lacs County Area DAC in Milaca, MN, celebrated the completion of its fully renovated accessible garden with an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Milaca Area Chamber of Commerce.
The outdoor space now features wider sidewalks, a covered seating area, yard games, a Little Free Library, and an accessible swing. Whether eating lunch, doing light exercise, or socializing, Milaca DAC clients can enjoy the outdoors in a safe, relaxing space.
This yearlong project was made possible by private benefactors, grants, fundraising, and community partners, including the City of Milaca, Benton Telecommunications Foundation, ECE Operation Roundup, the Rum River Community Foundation, and First National Bank of Milaca.
Milaca DAC extends an open invitation to MOHR member organizations to bring friends for a day trip or picnic to enjoy the garden.
